- Gunman still not capable of standing trial for shooting a South Boulder King Soopers. Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa is still mentally incompetent to stand trial 16 months after his arrest for killing 10 people at King Soopers in South Boulder. (COSun)
- Boulder County is considering allowing accessory dwellings for Marshall Fire victims. The county’s Planning Commission approved amendments to the Land Use Code that would allow the construction of ADUs and could serve as interim housing for those that are planning to rebuild. (CO Daily)
- RTD relaunching the MyRide card. After a month of free bus service this coming August, the Regional Transportation District plans to re-introduce the MyRide card, with a more useful and simple system. (Denverite)
- Urgent action needed to improve air quality. Regional municipalities claim that oil and gas are at the root of dangerous ozone levels in the region, and they’re crafting an action plan. (9News)
- Metro area’s homeless population grew during the pandemic. It probably doesn’t come as a surprise, but the region’s homeless population grew by almost 13 percent during the pandemic. The annual point in time count from last January shows that the number of people living on the street continues to grow. (CO Sun)
