After a long weekend at Toboggan, the tour charges on to Columbia, Missouri for the Mid-America Open Presented by Discraft. Though it may be tempting for some to take the week off to prepare for Discraft’s Ledgestone Open next week, many of the pros aren’t missing the chance to play Columbia’s top-rated course.
Harmony Bends is a delight to both play and watch, with tight wooded fairways accompanied by frequent elevation changes. Players will have to hit their lines precisely if they want to avoid plunging down hillsides or into the creek weaving through the course. We are also sure to see some painful rollaways, with baskets often perched in precarious positions on the hillsides.

Last year saw a tight battle at the top, with Kyle Klein pulling into tied first place with Chris Dickerson going into the final round. Klein managed to hold off both Dickerson and Emerson Keith, who made a big charge to snag T2. Klein will be returning to defend his title from the likes of Gannon Buhr and Isaac Robinson, two newcomer standouts who did not attend last year.
Heather Young took the FPO win last year with just one stroke over Vanessa Van Dyken and Ellen Windboom. The FPO field has doubled in size for this year’s event, which is sure to result in an exciting battle.
Here’s how to catch all the action this weekend:
