Open Farm Day includes bunnies, berries, barbecue
Acker’s Acres Angoras, an Angora rabbit farm and fiber studio at 359 Gloucester Hill Road, is participating in Maine’s Open Farm Day Sunday, July 24. The owners have been raising Angora rabbits for more than 40 years and yarns, knit garments, rabbits and crafts are available for purchase. Several members of Maine Angora Producers will be on the farm with a display of angora bunnies and demos of grooming and spinning. Pick-your-own red and black raspberries and rhubarb as well as dig-your-own perennials will be available.

Agricultural celebrations will abound at Pineland Farms for Open Farm Day, a statewide event held July 24. Cheese tasting and local vendors will be at the market at 15 Farm View Drive.
