The 17th Annual Mountain Harvest Beer Festival on Saturday, Oct. 15 is almost here! This event at the Plumas-Sierra County fairgrounds boasts an amazing assemblage of craft beers as well as some hard ciders and hard seltzers. The event offers brews to taste from upwards of 20 breweries from around the West.

Along with being one of the most anticipated events of the fall season, the Mountain Harvest Beer Festival is one of the most important fundraisers for Plumas Arts.

“This year we are very pleased to have the support of all three of our closest local breweries and a few regional longtime supporters,” says Executive Director Kara Rockett-Arsenault. The Brewing Lair from Blairsden, Quintopia Brewing Company from Quincy and Ronin Fermentation Project from Graeagle will all be there. Feather Falls Brewing Co. and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., longtime neighboring supporters, will also be attending.

The Brewing Lair, opened in Blairsden in 2011. The Lair has been the Mountain Harvest Beer fest’s longest local supporters. Founders Susan Duniphin and Rich DeLano are the thirsty, great-craft-beer-seeking couple who founded The Brewing Lair.  The Brewing Lair is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a beer. Ronin Fermentation Project opened in Graeagle in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. The brewery, founded by Charlie Johnson and Lisa Jansen, was established to use innovative brewing techniques to produce high-quality beers that appeal to a wide variety of consumers. Ronin brews saisons and sours, stouts, cervino wine-beer hybrids, IPAs, old-world European lagers, and experimental Koji Beer. Ronin was awarded a silver award at the 2022 World Beer Cup in the Experimental beer style category for its The Multiverse Lives Koji Beer. Quintopia Brewing Company, opened in 2018 in Quincy, offers a lovely inside tap room and family-friendly patio seating, and delicious meals and snacks. Quintopia’s production facility across the street is set to re-open this spring after the horrible fire that burned it down in 2020.
