MINOT – Christina F. Mahoney, “Cristy”, 46, of Minot, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

Cristy was born on Dec. 14, 1976, a daughter to Francis W. and Geraldine A. (Mosher) Mahoney. She started her education in Virginia Beach Schools until moving to Minot Consolidated School and finishing her education through Auburn Adult Education, earning her GED in 1996. Throughout these years, Cristy made many lifelong friends including Sheri Johnson, Jennifer Simpson and David Kohler.

Cristy worked many jobs throughout her life, most recently working for AAA Fire in Auburn. She enjoyed many outside activities such as fishing, gardening, disc golf, kayaking, and hiking. She also loved crafting, and giving her creations to friends and family. Even with the little that she had, she was always there to brighten someone’s day and put a smile on their face. Cristy adored all animals especially her dogs Delilah and Raven and cats Ugh-Ly and Figaro.

She spent many years residing in Virginia Beach, until her move to Maine where she stayed for 22 years. Cristy was in the process of buying a new home which she was extremely excited for.

Cristy’s fun personality and quick witted humor was known to all and will be remembered forever.

Cristy was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Timothy Nason.

She leaves behind her brothers Nathanael Mahoney and wife Stacey, Brian Mahoney and wife Renae, Michael Mahoney and wife Sarah, as well as her sisters, Debra Nason and Sharon Cousins. Cristy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, being closet to, Aliyah, Ariel, Alexis, Jordan, Caleigh, and Caden.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, at 12 p.m., followed by an in-house funeral service at 1 p.m., at The Fortin Group Funeral Home in Auburn.
