SNAPSHOT: Children enjoy Boilermaker Youth Olympics

Renee Greene jumps rope during the Boilermaker Youth Olympics on Thursday at T.R. Proctor Park in Utica. The event is for children ages 6-13 from the city of Utica. The event was free and each child received a T-shirt. The first year of the event 300 children participated. The event has grown to 500 participants. Employees from Bank of America and the city of Utica help the children with the events, which include basketball, baseball, jump rope, kickball, disc golf, hockey shootout and balloon toss as well as checkers and Connect Four.
