■The June 22 speaker at the Rotary Club will be Bethany Cottrell of Brigid’s House of Hope speaking on survivors of human trafficking. The Franklin Rotary Club meets at the Episcopal Mission at 237 Central Street (next to Cumberland Farms) every Wednesday at noon, so mark your calendar ahead. ■Winni River Days returns June 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. and June 18 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Vendor Village will open Friday night and be open all day Saturday. Great vendors from across NH, Kettlehead and Vulgar Brewing Companies will pour beers. Live music Friday and Saturday evenings and during the day Saturday. For the kids, there will be a climbing wall, duck races and games.
■The Franklin Farmers Market begins June 23 and runs through Sept. 29 on Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m. Visit franklinnh.org/parks-recreation/pages/franklin-farmers-market for details. The Market will be joined by Music in the Park starting July 7 at 5 p.m. Mark your calendar ahead for these fabulous Thursday events.
■The Franklin Outing Club will host a series of moderate, mostly flat wildflower hikes, led by Karen Darling. A 3-mile loop at a leisurely pace that may last 3 to 4 hours. The first will take place June 20 from 2 to 5 p.m. with future hikes in July and August. Each month you will discover different wildflowers.
■Hiking and biking trails are available all year long at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Area, Flaghole Road. The area is open from dawn to dusk with no fee to use facilities during warmer months. There is also a 9-hole disc golf…
