Michigan Goodwill Stores Do Not Accept These 12 Items

It is almost time for spring cleaning!
You are probably checking around the house for what you can and cannot donate.
If you are planning to drop things off at a Goodwill in Michigan any time soon, you might want to read this first.
According to their website, there are a few items that Goodwill will simply not accept.
While they appreciate the donations, check your items before walking into any Michigan Goodwills, especially Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids.
The first item or items you should not bring to a Goodwill seems self-explanatory.
Do not bring any used mattresses, box springs, water beds, and sofa sleepers. No one wants a used or tattered bed.
In that same category, you might want to reconsider bringing any upholstered furniture, such as “couches, mostly upholstered dining chairs, etc.”
The following few items make me question someone’s sanity. For the following items to be on the list, someone had to have tried to bring these items to a Goodwill and obviously failed.
“Automobiles parts of any kind (including tires and car batteries)
Firearms or ammunition
Hazardous materials including fuels (such as gas, oil, diesel fuel, and propane), paint, paint thinner, insecticides, flammable, and poisonous materials)
Electronic and kerosene heaters”
