£3.5m investment completed at new Lincolnshire Country Park

A Lincolnshire Country Park has opened following a major £3.5 million investment. Appletree County Park opened over the weekend following an extensive programme of investment.

The resort, located near Boston, was the feature of a major investment programme by Away Resorts. The investment has helped provide new accommodation options, hot tubs, a restaurant and bars, and an outdoor splash zone.

Holiday home ownership is also available on the resort. Prices for this start at £32,995.

The new accommodation includes a mix of grades to suit every budget, including exclusive premium lodges that come with a hot tub and pet-friendly options for those that like to holiday with their animals. The resort, formerly known as Boston West, has been completely refurbished and modernised, with a number of new facilities available alongside the original hotel.

Guests will have access to nine-hole golf and footgolf courses, along with a state-of-the-art Toptracer Driving Range. Following a round of golf, visitors could utilise The ‘Tipsy Eagle Lounge Bar’, formerly known as ‘Westwoods Bar and Grill’, for crafted cocktails and views of the golf course.

The refurbished ‘Ken’s Bar’ is now called ‘Six West Restaurant and Bar.’ Away Resorts say that the restaurant offers a “menu of family-friendly food and drink.”

Away Resorts’ CEO Carl Castledine, said: “We are very excited to officially open our brand-new park in Lincolnshire, and we feel the new historic name resonates so well within the local area. Through our £3.5 million investment in renovations, we have created a park with fantastic accommodation options and facilities that we’re sure holidaymakers will love.”

For families looking to entertain their children, there are also plenty of options. Children can experience the new outdoor splash zone, disc golf, and a brand-new adventure playground.

There will also be additional activities during the peak school holidays. These will include an outdoor cinema, arts and crafts, target archery, footgolf, ranger activities, and pottery painting.

The park will embrace its new name, a homage to Sir Isaac Newton, by planting a variety of apple trees, including the very variety of tree that Sir Isaac sat under, called the ‘Flower of Kent’. These apples will then be used for items on the menu at the resort’s restaurants and bars.
