Camp scholarships
Summer camp scholarships are available to income-eligible children through Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division.
Families with children entering first through sixth grades and ages 5-12 are eligible; 5-year-olds must have completed kindergarten. Children up to age 17 attending approved special needs camps also are eligible.
Scholarship awards are based on income-eligibility and will be awarded according to funding availability.
Scholarship applications will be accepted electronically and by mail or hand delivery beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, April 11.

Daytona Beach
The city’s summer camp program will be Monday, June 6, to Friday, Aug. 12.
The 10-week program is for youth ages 5 to 16 and will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Breakfast and lunch, sports, crafts, field trips and games are provided.
Camp locations are:
•Midtown Cultural and Educational Center, 925 George W. Engram Blvd.
•Schnebly Recreation Center, 1101 N. Atlantic Ave.
•Sunnyland Recreation Center, 825 Washington St.
•Turie T. Small Elementary School, 800 South St.
•YSG Cultural and Educational Center, 1000 Vine St.
Registration is first come, first served and will open Tuesday, May 3. Youth can be registered at codb.us and at Leisure Services at City Hall at 301 S. Ridgewood Ave.
The registration fee has been waived. Summer camps are $300 per youth and there is a 10% discount for siblings. A weekly payment plan of $30 is available. For more information, call (386) 671-8337.
Ormond Beach
Leisure Services will host Summer Connection 2022 Day Camp at the South Ormond Neighborhood Center, 176 Division Ave.
There will be two sessions, one from June 13 to July 8 and one from July 11 to Aug. 5. No camp July 4.
Sessions are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. For each session, resident rate is $252 and non-resident rate is $378. Weekly rates are available. Resident and non-resident scholarships are available. Space is limited. No field trips.

ACA Summer Art Camp
Atlantic Center for the Arts’ Summer Art Camp will be at ACA Harris House and Yurick Studios in downtown New Smyrna Beach.
Each weekly session gives children an opportunity to explore ideas of art and culture through hands-on experience with a variety of art forms. There is downtime for snacks, stretching, games and lunch.
Camps is for ages 6 to 12 and will meet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday to Friday. Admission is $130 for members and $150 for non-members. Pre-registration is required. Scholarships are available for each session.

Museum of Arts & Sciences
The Museum of Arts & Sciences will host its annual Summer Learning Institute, which focuses on art, science and history, with many integrated learning experiences.
Programs run June 13 to Aug. 5. Classes are for students ages 5 to 13 at 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach. Morning sessions are 9 a.m. to noon. Afternoon sessions are from 1 to 4 p.m.
Programs are $95 to $210. An Extended care program will be offered from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for $25 per week. Extended care students picked up after 5:30 p.m. will be charged $10 for every 10 minutes of additional care.

Ormond Memorial Art Museum
Ormond Memorial Art Museum will host summer camps at 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach,
Children must be age 6 at time of camp, or have completed kindergarten.
Camp themes are:
•June 13-17: Mermaid Bling Fling
•June 27-July 1: Pirates, Shipwrecks & Treasure
•July 11-15: Imaginarium: Dragons, Unicorns & Fairies
•July 25-29: Weird & Wild Florida
Each camp is 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Friday. Sessions will be inside the newly expanded OMAM classroom, as well as in the Gardens. Participants should pack a snack and a drink for break time each day.

Hub on Canal
Registration is now open for Summer Art Camp at The Hub on Canal, 132 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach June 6 to July 21.
Camp for students ages 6 to 11 will meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday to Thursday. Camp for ages 12 and older is from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday.

Sound Seekers Audio Lab
Atlantic Center for the Arts will host a summer camp at Stetson University for the Young Sound Seekers Audio Lab Summer Camp.
The environmental arts program will teach high school students how to collect sounds using portable audio recorders and use a digital audio workstation to produce a podcast.
Camp dates are June 19-25 in DeLand for students ages of 13-18. The $450 registration fee includes six nights and seven days at Stetson, including tuition, room and meals.

Museum of Art-DeLand
Camp Create at the Museum of Art-DeLand is a six-week program for children ages 6 to 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 13 to July 22 at 600 N. Woodland Blvd.
Themes for each week are:
•Week 1, June 13 to 17: Magical Creatures
•Week 2, June 20 to 24: Game On
•Week 3, June 27 to July 1: Out in the Wild
•Week 4, July 5 to 8: Under the Sea
•Week 5, July 11 to 15: Worldwide Adventures
•Week 6, July 18 to 22: Enchanted Kingdom
Campers will have two sessions each day and work on multiple art projects each week. Breaks will be taken throughout the day for snacks, lunch and games.

Tuition per five-day weekly session is $190 per member, $215 per non-member and $160 per member and $185 per non-member for July 5 to 8. Receive $10 a week discount for registering multiple children or a $10 a week discount for multiple weeks.
DeBary Sports Camps
DeBary Parks & Recreation Department will launch 10 children’s sports camps for the 2022 summer break season.
The various day camps include football, soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling, disc golf, tennis, tumbling, cheer and golf.
Residents and non-residents will have access to 15 camp sessions for the different sports.
Camps are contracted through local professionals, coaches and youth groups and conducted throughout the city.
