- Pickle and Social will open in 2024 at The Sydney on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land near the Loop 101 and 90th Street. Guests can expect eight indoor and four outdoor pickleball courts, a full-service restaurant, a rooftop bar, a Fairway Fieldhouse with a private bar, four Full Swing simulators, “an ACL Cornhole Yard, yard games, an outdoor putting green, and a 30-foot outdoor live music stage.” The Sydney has multiple expected tenants, including Goodsurf, The Rustic, and Reverb by Hard Rock. - The Arizona Fish and Game Department has killed four coyotes near the locations of the recent toddler attacks in north Scottsdale. After several days of searching near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and 100th Street, wildlife officials successfully trapped and euthanized the suspects. These coyotes tested negative for rabies, and further DNA testing is being conducted to determine if the coyote involved in the child attacks was among the dead. Dog food was found in one of the coyotes’ stomachs, and wildlife officials found eggs and muffins left out as coyote food. Arizona Fish and Game is urging residents not to feed coyotes, as this causes them to lose their fear of people and can lead to attacks. Wildlife officials are continuing to monitor for additional reports of aggressive coyote behavior. In the meantime, if you come in contact with a coyote, make eye contact and make loud noises; do not turn away and run! (Arizona’s Family)
