DGPT Announces Community Connect EDGE Grant Program
September 26th, 2022: The Disc Golf Pro Tour and The Educational Disc Golf Experience (EDGE) are excited to announce a new collaboration geared toward the expansion of disc golf education across the country: the DGPT Community Connect EDGE Grant Program (CCEG).
EDGE is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the lifetime activity of disc golf to the youth of the world. In partnership with schools across the United States, EDGE provides a well-rounded standards-based curriculum and affordable equipment to physical educators, who can build disc golf into their long-term teaching plans. As the leading educational disc golf organization, EDGE has introduced over two million young people to the sport!
This year, in collaboration with the DGPT Community Connect Program, EDGE has developed a new grant program focused on planting the seeds of disc golf education programs in and around the areas that host Elite Series tournaments. Up to eight grants will be awarded in and around the communities local to several Elite Series event locations.
