DGPT Announces Off-Season Live Media Update & Addition

October 25th, 2022: As announced last month, the Disc Golf Network will deliver an expanded slate of content to its subscribers this off-season. In addition to the previously announced content slate, the Disc Golf Network is adding final-day live coverage of the National Amateur Disc Golf Tour’s Championship event in Austin, Texas, this coming weekend. Competition will take place at a Dave Feldberg-designed layout at the Live Oak Brewing Disc Golf Course. Live broadcasts of the final nine holes of both the FPO and MPO divisions will feature some of the best amateur disc golfers from across the country and take place this Saturday, October 29th. Broadcast times are scheduled for 1:00 PM CT (FPO) and 3:30 PM CT (MPO).  

In addition to the NADGT final, post-production coverage of the Lake Marshall Open will start this Saturday, October 29th. Lake Marshall Open is the first of two 2022-2023 wrap-around season events that will award tour points towards the 2023 DGPT Championship, the final event of the recently announced 2023 season schedule. The Lake Marshall Open – a DGPT Silver Event – will take place at Lake Marshall – Lions. The Lions course is a long challenging wooded track with rolling hills and a large lake at the center of the property.

While 2022 Silver Events have featured final-day live coverage where possible, it has been determined after extensive testing that due to weak cellular infrastructure in the area, a live broadcast of the Lake Marshall Open’s final round will be replaced with live coverage of the NADGT finals. Fans can look forward to next-day post-production coverage of the Lake Marshall Open which will be made available on the Disc Golf Network and the DGPT YouTube channel. The Disc Golf Network is excited to bring fans inside the ropes for the first-ever DGPT wrap-around season event!
