There’s a water park located in Ypsilanti that many Michiganders didn’t even know existed…until now.

Michigan isn’t really known for its waterparks. I mean they can only be open for a few months out of the year, so who wants to really invest that kind of money? Don’t get me wrong, we have lots of water parks but only a handful are really nice.

Speaking of nice water parks, Rolling Hills County Park looks like it’s one of the nicer ones in Michigan. Actually, it looks awesome.

Rolling Hills County Park in Ypsilanti is a 400 acre park that is open year round from 8 am to dusk. They have a super cool looking water park, 1.8 miles of paved trails, three miles of nature trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, picnic tables and grills located throughout the park.

No, the pool isn’t open year round (obviously). They usually have the water park open from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. Their water park hours are from 12 pm to 7 pm daily.

What Kind of Attractions are in the Water park?

The water park has a giant wave pool, water slides, and a lazy river.

According to the Washtenaw Park & Recs website,  the Activity Pool is popular with younger children due to its zero-depth entry, gentle bubbler, geysers, a waterfall and a kiddie slide for children under 45″ tall.

You can also chill and relax in their chaise lounges and sand chairs on an extensive sun deck located throughout the water park.

The photo below shows just how beautiful this 400 acre park is. I would love to do some hiking here in the fall, so cool.

You’re probably asking, why are they open year round? I couldn’t…
